Description
The Giulietta Spider is an icon of elegance and style and was built by Alfa Romeo between 1955 and 1962. It was built on the Sprint version chassis. The design was characterized by sober and elegant lines, which were typical of Italian cabriolets of this time. The Giulietta Spider was driven by a four-cylinder, longitudinally installed, in-line engine with a displacement of 1,290 cm³, which in the early versions produced 65 hp and enabled a maximum speed of 155 km/h. The car had rear wheel drive, front and rear drum brakes and was equipped with independant wheel suspension. A "Veloce" version with two carburetors, an increased engine power and a top speed of almost 180 km/h. The Giulietta Spider was highly appreciated by the markets and achieved a good commercial success.
