Description
SIRIUS soft starter S0 12.5 A, 5.5 kW/400 V, 40 °C 200-480 V AC/DC 110-230 V screw clamps SIRIUS 3RW40 for standard applications for smooth start-up and stop of three-phase synchronous motors.
Continuously start, reduce current peaks, prevent mains voltage fluctuations during start-up, relieve the power supply, reduce the mechanical load in the drive, save space and wiring compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, maintenance-free switching and easy handling. The integrated bypass enables the very compact design and ensures low heat generation in the control cabinet. Intelligent monitoring functions protect the soft starter from overheating and the motor against overload. You can also limit the current to a set maximum value during power-up. With the integrated remote reset you can quickly and easily remove disturbances from the distance Worldwide approvals (e.g. IEC and UL/CSA) also for explosion-prone applications (ATEX or IEC Ex).
The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V in a wide power range with different control supply voltages and are continuous with screw and spring connections. 3RW30/40 provides additional versions with 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3 and all 3RW44 also offer thermal motor protection.
With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted on the circuit breakers, even for the versions with spring connection. The optional fan enables an even denser design in the control cabinet.
