Advantech's unmanaged switches, such as the Advantech EKI-2725-CE, are equipped with an IP30 metal housing and has a compact, robust and reliable design and advanced protection against electrostatic discharge and surge protection. These EKI modules supports 12 - 48 V DC redundant power supplies, has a reverse polarity voltage protection and a switchable protection against current overload. If the current supply moves within normal parameters, these modules take the operation independently, whereby they have become widely used and popular communication modules in the industrial market. Each port is equipped with 2 LEDs, which give information over the connecting status, transmission rate and data collision. They also have a relay output for group events. In case of failure of one of the redundant power supplies, it is signalled by a LED. So the hardware status is always easy to read. EKI modules can be flexibly mounted on DIN rail or wall.
