Deep groove ball bearings are the most widely sold type of bearing, because of their wide range of applications and low cost. They accept radial and axial forces and are suitable for high rotational speeds. Because of their constructional features, deep groove ball bearings are suitable for a wide range of applications. UBC deep groove ball bearings are heat treated, so that they can be used in operating temperatures of up to 150 °C.
Deep groove ball bearing with shields
The suffix 2Z after the type number indicates shields on both sides. The shields protect the inner part of the bearings from the ingress of dirt and other foreign bodies. If the outer ring rotates however, these bearings achieve no more than 40% of the maximum speed rating.
