Description
Especially old Märklin switches (with double coil drive) are already in need of even a strong "extra blow” to divert a bit. This helps the switching amplifier. The power is stored in a capacitor, then fed through transistors on a beat and with a higher voltage of the respective coil each time. With the "Problem switch", this switching amplifier can be switched easily without any major modifications in the supply line. Two additional benefits: 1 Since the switch is not driven by the normal traction power, multiple switches are switched simultaneously. The load capacitors in the switching amplifier loads itself with low current between the switching operations (about 1.5 s). 2. For switching, even a small current is sufficient, so that even sensitive small buttons are used. The risk that the switch contacts will burn, is reduced. Module fully assembled and tested.
