The RT-N12 is a 300Mb/s wireless N router. Equipped with both LAN and WLAN connections, it is ideal for use in small businesses and offices. With 2T2R MIMO technology and two detachable 5dBi high gain antennas, the RT-N12 creates an extended signal coverage area with enhanced WLAN performance perfect for streaming HD video, VoIP calls and online gaming. The exclusive ASUS Quick Internet Setup (QIS) and the graphical user interface allow even beginners to install and operate the RT-N12. With the RT-N12 it is possible to set up to 4 separate SSIDs so that the user can flexibly assign Internet access and bandwidth. The convenient switch on the back of the router allows users to quickly and easily switch between AccessPoint, router and repeater modes.

Plug-n-Surf-Installation
The QIS (Quick Internet Setup) sets up Internet access in three simple steps and leads the user automatically and without user manual to the start page of his browser. The first step is to open the Internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer). QIS now automatically determines the type of connection. In the second step, the user simply follows the instructions on the screen and enters the required information. In the third and final step, the user can already surf the Internet without any problems. Up to four independent wireless networks can be created with the ASUS RT-N12. Both bandwidth and access controls can be dynamically assigned to these networks, allowing these networks to be used in different ways. For example, a high-bandwidth network with all access rights (for the local network and the Internet) can be created for management, while a second network for employees provides medium bandwidth and access to the local network only. A third network could, for example, provide guests with low bandwidth and Internet access only. The ability to manage multiple wireless networks simultaneously makes the RT-N12 router an ideal solution for both small businesses and home users.
EZ switch
The ASUS RT-N12 can be used in three different operating modes - as a router, repeater or access point. The newly developed EZ switch from ASUS offers the possibility to switch between these three operating modes at the push of a button.
