With the dlinkgo GO-SW-8E 8-Port Fast Ethernet Easy Desktop Switch you can quickly and easily set up a powerful, reliable and efficient wired network. The GO-SW-8E is a 10/100 Mbps switch designed to increase the performance of small workgroups while providing high flexibility. Powerful yet extremely user-friendly, users can simply plug and play any connection of this switch to a 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps network, increasing firewidth, reducing response times and creating reserves for coping with even the most extreme load situations. Connect the GO-SW-8E to multiple computers to share files and folders with other users or connect it to a router to share the Internet connection.
Easy high speed
The GO-SW-8E is equipped with autosensing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports. Each port has an LED display that provides a quick overview of connection status and activity. The ports detect the network speed and automatically negotiate between 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX and between full- and half-duplex. This ensures optimal transfer speed for any device connected to the network, accelerating Internet browsing, video streaming and online gaming. In addition, the GO-SW-8E supports automatic MDI/MDIX detection so that each port can be connected directly to a server, hub, router or switch via a normal, uncrossed twisted-pair Ethernet cable.
Reliable plug-and-play installation
The GO-SW-8E is a plug-and-play device that requires no configuration, so setup is quick and easy. You can instantly connect multiple computers to share files, music and videos on your home network or small office network, and even create a multiplayer gaming environment. 802.3x flow control on all ports minimizes the number of packets discarded when a port's receive buffer is full. This means a more reliable connection for all your connected devices.
Environmentally friendly
The GO-SW-8E is equipped with D-Link Green technology, which significantly reduces energy consumption. If no computer is connected to a port or the connected computer is switched off, the port automatically switches to "sleep mode". This significantly reduces power consumption without disrupting the network connection. In addition, the switch automatically detects the length of connected Ethernet cables and adjusts power consumption without affecting performance. The GO-SW-8E has an elegant and compact design and can be placed easily and inconspicuously in any easily accessible position. The power connector and all network connections are located on the back of the unit, making it easy to store the cables.
