Description

The measurement methods for fill level detection are based on the conductive principle, in other words, the electrical conductivity of the medium is monitored. If the switching amplifier determines a value smaller than the preset conductivity, then the state "media detected" is returned, otherwise "no medium".
Application: versatile alarm and protective device for DIN rail, or wall-mounting with universal input (screw) for a variety of external sensors. It allows all sensors with a switching threshold of 100 kOhm to be connected, such as water sensors, float switches, level switches, magnetic contacts etc. In the event of an alarm, a potential-free changeover contact can allow a connected device (e.g. pump, machine) to be switched on or off. The GEWAS 300 FG will also sound an acoustic alarm. To clear the alarm, the internal/external reset button must be pressed. The GEWAS 300 FG is suitable for detecting conductive media (water etc.). It is less suitable for weak or non-conductive media (oils or fatty liquids), conductive foam-forming media or media that allow electrically insulating deposits to form on the electrodes.
