Description

Modern, monofunctional high-performance additive for viscosity stabilization of engine oils. Visco-Stabil offers excellent protection against mechanical, i.e. permanent shear loss of the oil under the toughest operating conditions and
counteracts engine oil dilution during frequent cold starts. Based on a monofunctional, polymeric viscosity index (VI)-improver of modern additive technology. Improves the viscosity-temperature behaviour of engine oils by reducing the decrease in viscosity with increasing temperature. Does not act as a pour point depressant (pour point depressant or flow improver). Is fully compatible with modern petrol and diesel engine oils based on mineral oil and synthetic oil. VI improver technology meets the strict performance requirements that are placed on multigrade engine oils today. Has little viscosity increasing effect in cold engines and thus maintains the favourable starting and friction behaviour of low-viscosity multigrade oils at low temperatures. Visco-Stable offers the necessary lubrication reliability of a highly viscous oil under tough operating conditions, i.e. at high oil temperatures and high shear gradients (high engine speed). Stabilizes and corrects the drop in viscosity of the engine oil as it occurs, for example, due to shear stress between the piston and cylinder wall in the engine. It maintains the lubricating efficiency of the engine oil within the change interval. Increasing the viscosity of the engine oil at high temperatures by approx. one SAE class enables more stable lubrication - engine wear is reduced and better sealing of the moving engine components is achieved.
