Description
The MC210CS is a media converter designed to convert 1000BASE-LX/LH fiber media to 1000Base-T copper media or vice versa. The MC210CS has been designed according to the IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T standard and the IEEE802.3z 1000Base-LX/LH standard and is intended for use with single-mode fiber optic cables and the SC connector. The MC210CS supports the long wavelength (LX) laser specification at a full bandwidth forwarding rate. It works at 1310nm both when sending and receiving data. Other features of the module include: the ability to use the device as a stand-alone device (no enclosure required) or with TP-LINK's 19-inch system enclosure, Auto-MDI/MDIX for the transmit port and status LED on the front panel. The MC210CS transmits in Fibre-Optic-Long-Distance-Mode up to a distance of 15 km using the single-mode fibre optic cable.
