Share the freedom of 3G! The TL-MR3420 3G/3.75 G wireless N router enables users to share a mobile 3G/3.75 G broadband connection with their family and friends on the train, while camping, in a hotel, and virtually anywhere within the 3G/3.75 G coverage area. If you connect a UMTS/HSPA/EVDO USB modem to a router, a WLAN hotspot is set up in no time.
Tests in the field – high compatibility
Compatibility is the most important aspect that must be considered when selecting a 3G router. To ensure the best possible compatibility between our routers and the modem you want to use with the router, TP-LINK has ensured that our 3G routers are compatible with the ISPs in the regions where they are sold. We have teams around the globe constantly testing our routers with the new modems that are coming on the market to make sure that the end users can be sure that their router will work smoothly in the place where they live and work.
Wireless N speed & range
As the TL-MR3420 complies with the IEEE802.11n standard, the device can set up a WLAN with a transfer speed of up to 300 Mbps and at the same time reduce the data loss over long distances, despite the obstacles in a small office or a large home, and even in buildings made from reinforced concrete. Above all, the user can pick up the WLAN signal at longer distances from the router than would have been possible with conventional 11g products.
WPA/WPA2 encryption – extended security
WEP encryption is no longer sufficient for backing up the users’ WLAN networks. The TL-MR3420 offers (for both private individuals and companies) WPA/WPA2 encryption, which was developed by the companies of the Wi-Fi Alliance and promotes the security of your WLAN in order to protect against almost any threat that the Internet or intruders may bring.
Comprehensive 3G/WAN backup strategy
The distinctive feature of the TL-MR3420 is the backup of the 3G/WAN connection, which keeps users online if a connection fails. The 3G router from TP-LINK offers the users both the 3G preferred and WAN preferred backup mode, whereas other brands only offer one or the other. This gives the users a high degree of flexibility when setting up networks, if the connection costs and the length of the downtime are taken into account.
