eneloop rechargeable batteries have a low self-discharge and are supplied pre-charged. Not only are they ready for use immediately after purchase, they also retain their cargo for a long period of time. This means that after one year of storage 85 % of the capacity is still available. Your device is always ready for use and guarantees that the required energy is always available when it is needed. One of the most important requirements of a rechargeable battery is its service life, i.e. the number of charge/discharge cycles that a battery can withstand without losing any of its performance. Clearly, the biggest advantage of eneloop is that it can be recharged up to 2100 times and then recycled. In the long run, this is not only cheaper but also environmentally friendly.
