Product description

Description

The inductive approach sensor from Whadda accurately detects metal objects that are within 4 mm of the sensor head. When a metal object is detected, the built-in red LED lights up and the black signal wire is internally shortened to earth with an NPN transistor. If no object is detected, the signal / high impedance is floating.

NOTE: It is recommended to supply the sensor no more than 6 V and to set a series protection resistor between the signal output of the sensor and the digital input of your board if it is logically connected to 5 V, such as Arduino® compatible boards.

Characteristics

Detects metal objects within 4 mm of sensor head * metal detected: ** Built-in red LED lights up impedance * simple connection
