The CAN-CR110/FO is used for the galvanic separation of two segments of a CAN/CAN FD network. As a special feature, the repeater separates a defective segment from the rest of the network so that the remaining network can continue to work. After the fault has been rectified, the segment is automatically switched back on to the network. Galvanic isolation is carried out for both the CAN segments and the supply voltage.
