Description
ESP32-DevKitM-1 is a ESP32 MINI-1(1U) based development board manufactured by Espressif. Most I/O pins are split between the headers on both sides to facilitate connection. Users can connect peripheral devices with either jumper wires or mount ESP32-DevKitM-1 on a breadboard.
Overview
This is a small and practical development board with the following features:
- ESP32-MINI-1, or ESP32-MINI-1U module
- USB serial programming interface, which also ensures the power supply of the board
- Headers
- Push buttons for reset and activation of the firmware download mode
- a few other components
Interfaces
Built-in module
ESP32-MINI-1 module or ESP32-MINI-1U module. ESP32-MINI-1 comes with an integrated PCB antenna. ESP32-MINI-1U comes with an external antenna connector. The two modules both have a 4 MB flash in the chip housing. For more details, see ESP32-MINI-1 & ESP32-MINI-1U datasheet.
5 V TO 3.3 V LDO
The power controller converts 5 V to 3.3 V.
Boot key
Download button. If you press and hold Boot and then press Reset, the firmware download mode for downloading the firmware is started via the serial port.
Micro USB port
USB interface. Power supply for the board and the communication interface between a computer and the ESP32 chip.
USB-to-UART bridge
A single USB UART bridge chip allows transfer rates of up to 3 Mbps.
3.3 V switch-on LED
Lights up when the USB is connected to the board. For details, refer to the schematics in the associated documents.
I/O connector
All available GPIO pins (except the SPI bus for Flash) are distributed to the headers on the board. Users can program the ESP32 chip to enable multiple functions.Characteristics
