The Lindy RJ45 port lock allows open network ports to be blocked quickly, so that it is not possible to connect cables or other devices without authorization. It provides protection against unauthorized access to a network or system and against accidental or intentional damage to the ports. It is also an optical indication of inactive and disconnected ports - ideal for use in schools, offices or government agencies.The RJ45 port lock consists of a plastic cap, which is securely inserted in the RJ45 port with a key. The lock latches in the RJ45 port and can only be removed again with the help of the key.So the application is simple: Put the lock on the key and then plug it into the free port. When you remove the key, the lock locks into the port. To remove the key, insert it back into the lock until it snaps into place and pull out the lock.
