Description

The user-friendly PC program runs under Windows and tests the functions of field devices such as the connected pneumatic valves or the correct function of I/O modules via the Profibus. The master simulator can be used both for on-site commissioning and for testing the Profibus interface in series production. It is a cost-effective alternative to a Profibus PC card or PLC. The simulator is available as a DP or DPV1 version.AUTOMATIC SCANThe automatic node identification enables the addressing of almost all commercially available Profibus-DP devices. Commissioning is also possible without a GSD file. A Profibus-DP slave can then be commissioned step by step to read input data or write output data specifically. The master simulator has proven itself particularly well during troubleshooting and commissioning, where the appropriate GSD files of individual manufacturers are often not available.The master simulator also supports the assignment of Profibus node addresses via the bus.
