Description
This wired LED is ideal for common applications and experiments in the field of semiconductor light and indication. As a standard 2.54 pitch component, the connection of the cathode to which the negative potential is applied is shortened. LEDs must always be operated in the forward direction and current limited to the maximum permissible milliampere value in order to prevent damage. This can be achieved with a constant current source or a suitable series resistor. LEDs are generally characterized by a high degree of efficiency, low energy consumption, long life/robustness and a directional light emission.
