The T-28 Trojan is a training aircraft which was developed in the 1940er. In the early 1950er, series production began with the 588 kW Wright R-1300-1A seven-cylinder radial engine and two-blade propeller. From this version a total of 1194 units were produced from 1954 onwards, the further development of T-28B with the stronger Wright R-1820-26 engine with 1047 kW power and a three-blade propeller was introduced. Later there were various variations. For example, the T-28C, which used the same engine as the T-28B and was also suitable for aircraft carriers thanks to the reinforced rear fuselage, brake flaps and catch hooks. It had its first flight on 19 September 1955 and was built in 299 units until 1957. The T-28D Nomad (also known as AT-28) was a reworked A-version with a Wright R-1820 56S engine and six sub-wing stations designed to serve different COIN missions. The T-28 Trojan in the Amewi Edition is a scale replica of this well-known US aircraft with a true-to-original paint finish and combines perfect flight characteristics (6G for beginners, 3D for advanced users) with the latest technology. The model is controlled via all axes (cross, height, side, motor) and is self-stabilizing in 6G mode. (Gyro) this stabilization also prevents the model from overtightening and only allows a limited angle of the model. Looping, rolling or inverted flight are not possible in this setting. If you switch the model to 3D mode using the high-quality 2.4 GHz transmitter, the model is suitable for dynamic aerobatics and allows all standard figures such as loops, rolls etc. to be used without any problem. Should something go wrong. If the model can be switched back to 6G mode by pressing a button and the model would immediately assume a stable flight position (rescue function) in addition to these entire features, the model is equipped with a receiver board. Which allows operation with e.g. Futaba or other 5V S-Bus receivers or DSM receivers with a 3V output. Thus, the model does not depend on the transmitter included in the delivery and it can be used with an existing transmitter.
