With Discovery Series I, the UK off-road vehicle manufacturer Land Rover launched a new model line in 1989, which should be cheaper than the previous Defender and Range Rover vehicle types. In October 1989 the Discovery was presented at a price of DM 45,350, with 353,843 models built in the I series it even topped the popular Defender. It was probably also because the new rover attracted a different target group because it combined good road and off-road handling characteristics. The 1:87 model of the all-terrain wheel impresses with its razor-sharp contours and finest engravings. Tail lights and headlights are separately plugged, whereby the headlights in true-to-size illumination optics additionally have a chrome-plated background and thus radiate very bright.
