The Anybus X-gateway provides a seamless connection between a higher-level Modbus TCP network and a Modbus TCP subnetwork. With the gateway, you can, for example, expand an existing Modbus TCP network without additional PLCs.FAST TRANSFER OF I/O DATAThe X-gateway is designed primarily for transmitting cyclic I/O data between the two networks and thus relieves the PLC of additional tasks. The gateway is server in the higher-level Modbus TCP network and a full master/client in the Modbus TCP subnetwork. Data transfer is transparent and up to 256 bytes of I/O data can be transferred in any direction.SIMPLE CONFIGURATION - NO PROGRAMMING REQUIREDThe gateway is configured via Ethernet and the integrated configuration web page. This web page is used to set the Ethernet TCP/IP settings, configure the Modbus TCP client/server, and define the I/O data size to be exchanged between the two networks.
