Our passive SFP+ 10G DAC Twinax cable is a low-cost alternative to RJ45 and fiber optic cables with energy efficiency and low latency. It is an excellent choice for structured cabling across short circuits between switches and routers on one side as well as servers and storage on the other, whether in top of rack (Tor), adjacent rack, 10G stacking switches or similar applications.No heat generation and suitable for extreme ambient temperatures - Ideal for data centersSFP+ DAC consists of twinaxial copper cable which has been connected to the SFP+ connector at both ends and provides an electronic connection directly into the active components. Because of its thermal design, this passive cable consumes less than 0.15 W, WAS consumes your power and reduces your costs. Since it does not produce heat, it can be used much more flexibly, even in extreme ambient temperatures up to 70°C, WAS makes it especially valuable for data centers.Cheaper and easier to use than glass fibersDAC cabling has a comparatively simple internal structure with fewer components than fiber optic cables. This cable structure enables the lower purchase price and also saves you the purchase of separate GBIC-Transceivers. This in turn makes the use easier, because you have fewer components to match. When used cables are stored, you have to pay less attention to testing and cleaning, unlike fiber optic cables, before you use them again.
