The Anybus Wireless Bolt II is a durable WLAN access Point and client, which was developed for industrial environments that require robustness and reliability. By supporting wireless distribution systems (WDS), the Bolt II enables bridging industrial protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus TCP and Ethernet/IP. For point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications, the Bolt II is an ideal alternative to wired solutions. The Bolt II is directly attached to a control cabinet or machine and can be powered via Power over Ethernet or separate power connections. With an extremely robust IP66 package and a wide temperature range from -25 °C to 65 °C, the Anybus Wireless Bolt II can withstand even the most demanding operating conditions, as a result of which it can be used indoors as well as outdoors. The Anybus Wireless Bolt II offers reliable wireless communication in harsh industrial environments. It can not only be used as a cable replacement in hard to reach areas. Thanks to the flexibility gained, it can also integrate new applications into automation systems. Typical applications of the Bol II are: Cell-level network expansion. When using the Anybus Wireless Bolt II in pairs, a wireless network can be set up between two cells. One Bolt II is installed on the control cabinet and the "cable replacement" mode is set. The Bolt II is powered through a PoE switch in the control cabinet. The Anybus Wireless Bolt II is configured as an Access Point and mounted on a control cabinet/machine in order to provide wireless access between an HMI and a machine or a control cabinet. The Bolt II is powered through a PoE switch in the control cabinet.
