Overview

VIAVI Smart OTDR PLUS for easy use in FTTx testing environments. Includes following test options: APC (1310/1550nm) with Optical Light Source and Hands-free bag (E10GLOVE)

Description

The compact and light-weight SmartOTDR performs all basic fiber tests in metro and access networks, such as:
- OTDR measurements
- The visual inspection of fiber end-faces with automatic good/bad evaluation
- The determination of optical attenuation (optical light source and optical power level meter)
- The fault location with the VFL red light source
The OTDR modules are supplied with power by the basic unit in which they are inserted.
