Active Bluetooth interfaceThe CANblue II is a low-cost universal CAN Bluetooth module, which covers a wide range of applications with its three operating modes.In the service area, for example, it enables wireless access to CAN systems via the Bluetooth interface already included as standard in notebooks. The reading out of diagnostic data or the configuration of the system can thus be carried out very easily and flexibly, even with plant parts that are difficult to access.By using several CANblue II devices, network segments can be connected to each other. This allows rotating or moving parts, e.g. in wind turbines, to be reliably connected or systems can also be networked over long distances of up to 200 meters. This avoids the risk of interference-prone slip ring connections or the expensive laying of cables between far away system parts.Last but not least, Bluetooth-based communication also offers decisive advantages in terms of range and interference immunity compared to conventional WLAN solutions.The following operating modes are supported:Bridge modeIn bridge mode, two CANblue II devices can be used to implement a CAN Bluetooth CAN bridge. The exchange of messages is done at Layer 2 and is transparent. The device can thus also work in systems with CANopen, DeviceNet or customer-specific protocols. Can ID filters can be stored for data exchange via Bluetooth. By using more than 2 CANblue devices, several buses can be combined into one network.ASCII/Binary protocol modeIn this operating mode, the user can use functions for sending and receiving CAN messages as well as for configuring the CANblue II on the basis of simple ASCII commands and optimized CAN binary messages. The CANblue II is therefore ideal for "non-Windows" systems or embedded platforms.PC operation with VCI driver for WindowsWith the support of the VCI CAN driver, the CANblue II can be operated with all IXXAT tools as well as with customer-specific programs. In addition, wireless access to CAN systems via Bluetooth with existing VCI-based application programs and tools can be easily implemented.Antennas are not included in the delivery.
