The Ixxat USB-to-CAN V2 compact is an easy and cost-effective way to connect a computer to a CAN bus network and is a very reliable workhorse for CAN applications, for example in the field of test, development, maintenance or control applications.Through the use of efficient, high-quality, durable hardware and the connection via native USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480 MBit/s) and 9-pin D-Sub connector for CAN, the converter achieves a very high data throughput with minimum latency and power consumption. A galvanic insulation reliably protects the device against damage to the electronics through voltage spikes.An exceptionally accurate timestamp resolution of only 1 microsecond allows for lossless transmission and reception of standard and advanced CAN messages on the CAN bus and allows filtering and buffering of CAN messages for very accurate CAN recording and monitoring.The tested and handy casing of the USB-to-CAN V2 compact is designed for the daily use and long life.For the USB-to-CAN V2 compact there is an extensive and stable driver and software package available, which can be downloaded free of charge at ixxat.com.The Ixchat driver packages for Windows (VCI) and Linux, VxWorks and QNX (ECI) also enable the use in existing applications without software adaptation. The APIs for CANopen and SAE J1939 also support the USB-to-CAN V2 family of devices.The VCI V4 (Virtual Communication Interface) is the driver interface for Ixxat interfaces on Windows and can be downloaded free of charge from ixxat.com/vci.
