Extremely slim
Generation 221 terminals are a real wonder of space: Their volume has been reduced by 40% compared to the previous model (222 series). Thus, it is now possible to implement applications with narrow installation conditions without any problem. Thanks to the extremely slim design of the new series the wired terminals can be inserted simply and quickly in the installation sockets. In addition, the space savings offer additional possibilities for later expansions.

The new housing design of the 221 series made of transparent plastic allows easy visual inspection of the correct conductor position. After connection, the electrician can immediately see if all conductors are plugged in and connected correctly. The correct stripping length of the conductor can now also be easily checked at a glance. Closed cable funnels provide for a clear guide of the wires to the terminal point.
The focus is on user-friendliness
Two test openings allow the installer to easily and safely test the terminal even in the installed state with all standard test probes. The side handles in the housing increase user-friendliness when opening the levers. The new generation of terminals is based on the proven tool-less CAGE CLAMP® technology, in which the clamping points are opened and closed with the help of an operating lever. The difference to the previous model: Now it is even easier to press the lever. As such, the conductors can be connected even more easily and quickly.
Wide range of applications
As a universal terminal, the new 221 series can accommodate all common types of conductor: With only one terminal, conductor cross-sections from 0.14 to 4 mm² (fine-wired) or from 0.2 to 4 mm² (single and multi-wired) can be covered. Thanks to the high reliable nominal current of 32 A and a nominal voltage of 450 V, the 221 series is suitable for various applications. Typical applications in building technology are the connection of lights, blind motors as well as the wiring of intercoms, door and gate controls. In industry, the Ideal connection terminal is suitable for wiring, for example, motors and pumps.
