This speed controller was specially developed for low-voltage electric motors. The main areas of application are: Stepless speed control of DC drilling machines, model cars, windscreen wiper motors and power tools. Due to the pulse width control, which works with a frequency of approx. 20 kHz, the power dissipation remains low even at low speeds. By using a MOSFET transistor, the output current can be infinitely adjusted from 0 to 5A with a potentiometer, whereby the electronics are protected in the event of sudden blocking of the motor. The adjustment range of the motor extends from complete standstill to maximum speed. With another additional potentiometer, the device offers the possibility of setting load-independent speed stabilization. This prevents torque and speed losses at higher loads and ensures smooth motor running even at low speeds.
