The Harmony XPS Basic safety relays provide basic safety functions. This device is used to understand classic safety applications with a switch-off delay and to set the start function. The switch-off delay time and one of the two safety functions can be set on the front rotary switches. At the inputs mechanical NC contacts of emergency-off/stop buttons, position, magnet, pull-cord switches, as well as light curtains or RFID safety switches with OSSD outputs can be connected. A safety function can be operated via the two inputs in two-channel (redundant) version. For the start function, the automatic, manual or monitored start is available at separate inputs. This safety switching device has 2 secure instantaneous relay contact as output and optionally delayed 1 safe normally open contact and 1 semi-conductor alarm output. The delayed-off time function (e.g. stop category 1 or 2, SS1 or SS2) can be set in steps from 0.1 second to 15 minutes. The supply voltage is 24 VAC/DC and the connections are made via removable spring clips. Application up to the safety level PL e in category 4 or SIL3 can be implemented. The assembly is done by snapping onto a DIN rail or by screwing on mounting plates. A clearly numbered locking band is provided to protect the settings under the transparent cover. Multiple approvals enable international use.
