Description
The Harmony XPS Universal safety relays are characterized by their range of functions and diagnostic capability, which reduces downtime in the event of a fault. This safety relay contains a safe standstill detection by measuring the residual voltage, so that no further sensors need to be installed. To do this, the motor cable is connected to the standstill monitor and, after the motor is switched off, the voltage induced by the rotating motion is measured. If the measured residual voltage falls below the threshold value set on the front (50-500 mV), the motor is assumed to be stationary. In addition, a delay time of 0.5 to 60 seconds is also adjustable on the front side. DC and AC motors in 1 or 3 phase supplies up to 690 V can be monitored for motor standstill. This safety switching relay has 1 safe relay normally open contact, 1 semiconductor alarm output and 1 diagnostic message. With the help of qualified diagnostics, states and faults are detected and transferred via a telegram to a standard input of a PLC via direct wiring. A pre-prepared function block for common control systems evaluates these messages so that the operator is fully informed on the machine display. The supply voltage is 24 VAC/DC and the connections are made via removable spring clips. Application up to the safety level PL e in category 3 or SIL3 can be implemented. If the number of outputs is to be increased, the XPSUEP extension can simply be connected laterally via an integrated plug connector and the cross-wiring can be done without time saving. The assembly is done by snapping onto a DIN rail or by screwing on mounting plates. A clearly numbered locking band is provided to protect the settings under the transparent cover. Multiple approvals enable international use.
