Valve 6240 is a servo-controlled piston valve. Plug and core guide pipe are welded to increase pressure and leakage protection. Depending on the application, different sealing material combinations are available. The shape and surface quality of the housing allow maximum flow values. The coils are crimped with highly chemically resistant epoxy. An optional plain bearing device increases the run time for dry gases. In order to reduce the electrical power consumption during operation coils with integrated "kick and drop" (KD) electronics are available in double coil technology.
The kv factor indicates the volume flow through a valve, measured in litres/min at 1 bar and at a water temperature between 5 and 30°C. The QNn factor indicates the gas volume flow, measured in litres/min
