Description
The electric locomotive 11131 (Re 4/4 II) of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) presents itself in a state matching the epoch IV in its original, fir-green color. The electric locomotive, which originated in the halls of the SLM/BBC and built in 1967, still ran up to a larger R3 in its color dress at the time until it became red like many other locomotives of this type. Like the prototypes, the locomotives in the first series (11107–11155) only have a pantograph, but they are 10 cm longer than the prototypes. With 277 locomotives delivered, the RE 4/4 II is the largest series of locomotives ever in Switzerland. The Re 4/4 II was built and put on the market for 21 years from 1964 to 1985. The 11131 has now been shut down and scrapped.
