Description

The SPAX-typical T-STAR plus drive is a so-called Torx socket. This shape increases the attack surface in our T-STAR plus, and the T-STAR plus bits fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transfer from screwdriver to screw by T-STAR plus enables a fast working, and much more efficient than with all other drives.

Where the countersunk screw is designed flat to allow the screws to be countersunk flush, the oval head offers a convex curve. Depending on the type of screw and the surface texture (stainless steel, nickel-plated, antique), these screws become a decorative element in furniture construction or in fastening baseboards.

The screws with partial thread are extremely suitable for attaching thin components such as wood material plates, boards or boards to thicker components such as square timber or beams. The short thread screws into the thick component; the thread-free shaft remains in the attachment part. This gives rise to the maximum contact pressure between the two. The thread-free part should be at least equal to the thickness of the attachment part.

The CUT tip of our SPAX screws allows our wood screws to be screwed in extremely quickly and effectively without the need for drilling. The arrow-shaped CUT tip together with the wave profile reduces a splitting and tearing of the wood. Furthermore, the CUT tip enables a very exact and non-slip attachment of the screw tip itself on smooth surfaces.

The abbreviation A2 on our stainless steel screws is based on the alloy of HER steel. Screws in the stainless steel version A2 offer high protection against corrosion and medium strength. Low is their resistance to seawater and acids. For this reason, they are screwed in outdoor areas that are far from the coast.

Wooden facades are usually designed as so-called backlit facades. The visible profiled timber is screwed onto a substructure which is also predominantly made of wood. Which screw is best used depends not only on the profile shape of the wood and whether it is a visible or concealed fixture. The aesthetic demands of the builders also play a role.

There has recently been a trend toward dark or black hanging wooden facades. SPAX is taking up this trend with the new black screw on the facade BLAX.

The SPAX facade screw with partial thread and CUT tip is best suitable for the universal mounting of facade boards. The arrow-shaped tip allows the screw to be positioned exactly and reduces the chipping of the wood at the same time.
