Description
The Akyga® AK-EC-18 is a single-phase charger for electric cars. It enables the charging of vehicles with a type1 plug via a normal household socket. The EV charger is equipped with a Schuko plug (CEE 7/7). This standard is used in most European countries and makes the charger a practical and universal solution for users of older or imported electric vehicles from overseas.
The charger AK-EC-18 for electric cars also possesses a 5 meter cable. It offers ample flexibility when connecting the vehicle for charging. In combination with the compact design of the battery charger, this device is the ideal support for owners of electric cars.
The heart of the charger is the easy-to-use ControlBox, which monitors and displays the current charging parameters on an LCD-display. This includes data such as charging current, voltage, power consumption, energy consumption, charging temperature and charging time. Moreover, the user can set the charging power by selecting one of the available current values (8 A, 10 A, 13 A, 16 A), with the maximum charging power being 3.8 kW.
The charger is also equipped with comprehensive safety devices (OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP), that protect both the device and the car battery from damage. There is also a grip on the housing with which the charger can be practically suspended, for example in the garage.
