Description

The Tripp Lite SMX700HG Medical UPS system provides reliable battery backup and fully complies with UL 60601-1 regulations when connected to a hospital-grade electrical outlet was ideal for use in the vicinity of patients. The 700 VA/450 W capacity provides up to 36 minutes of half-load or 14.5 minutes of full-load operation, allowing you to perform short power outages and orderly system shutdown in the event of a prolonged power outage.
The built-in line-interactive voltage control corrects voltage drops of up to 155 V and surges of up to 274 V to a normal 230 V rated output voltage without consuming battery power. The SMX700HG built-in Faraday Shielded Isolation Transformer provides complete isolation and removes common mode interference while maintaining full AC surge suppression in all modes. The cumulative leakage current of all connected devices is less than 100 microamps.
This UPS system has six hospital-grade IEC320 C13 sockets and a hospital-grade IEC320 C14 connector on a 15 cm dongle. All six outputs offer both backup protection and surge protection, which are designed for 340 joules.
The SMX700HG also features diagnostic LEDs, a USB port and a DB9 serial port that work with Tripp Lite's free PowerAlert software for safe, unattended system shutdown and file storage in the event of a prolonged power outage.
Application usage
This UPS contains a lead acid battery designed to be continuously connected to an AC power source, apart from short power outages. It is not intended for frequent charge/discharge cycles, such as mobile car applications where the UPS is frequently disconnected from the power source. Using the SMX700HG in this type of application will void the battery warranty.
