The iRobot Create 3 platform combines the knowledge of US manufacturer iRobot from over 30 years of experience in the field of autonomous vacuum cleaner robots. The iCrate 3 platform is also the official platform of the OSRF (Open Source Robotics Foundation) and Turtlebot4, which is owned by Clearpath Robotics Inc. built and supported. The Create 3 platform is equipped from the house with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB-C support. This means that it can easily be used as a basis for almost any hardware or research area. The perforated cover plate also enables an extremely easy mounting of additional hardware like a computer (Nvidia AGX, ORIN, Raspberry Pi etc.), a LiDAR (SLAMTEC 2D or OSTER 3D Lidar) or many other sensors & actuators. In combination with the supplied docking station, this creates an extremely powerful platform at a very affordable price.
