Highest flexibility in copper fiber conversion: With two Fast Ethernet fiber optic ports (multimode, SC) and a 10/100 Mbit copper port, the KSD-103-B-C Ideal is used to insert terminals into a glass fiber optic ring or to transfer fiber optic stub cables to the next connection point. Like all CTI converters, the KSD-103-B-C is latency-optimized and thus provides for a delay-free data transfer over long distances and several converters. Sharing RSTP packets is not a problem in spanning tree environments. Via a relay contact the device can give out alerts in case of power failure or interruption of the fiber optic connection and thus can be integrated easily in existing alarm systems.
