Description
PETG with tribological properties
The proliferation of 3D technology and the increase in expectations of print functionality means the need to develop increasingly specialized materials. Due to the market needs and repeated inquiries from customers, Spectrum Filaments have supplemented the range with PET-G material with tribological properties.
Spectrum PETG/PTFE copolymer is Ideal for use in sliding elements and gears. PET-G, known for its excellent mechanical properties, is used as the basis for the development of the material. By the addition of 10% PTFE, commonly known as Teflon, this filament has self-lubricating properties. Thanks to the careful selection of the components and at the same time reducing the friction coefficient, the filament retains the characteristics characteristic of PET-G such as simple printing, high layer adhesion, impact resistance and thermal properties.
Spectrum PETG/PTFE can be used in printed components that are subject to increased wear due to friction and operating temperatures up to 70°C. The filament is available in a wide range of colors.
