Bluetooth smart
The Blue Smart IP22 battery charger is the wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, adjusting settings and updating the charger when new functions are available.

High performance level
With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat than the industry standard. After the battery has also been fully charged, the power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Adaptive 6-stage charging algorithm: Test bulk - absorption - recondition - float - storage
The Blue Smart charger features microprocessor-controlled, “adaptive” battery management. "Adaptive" means that the charging process is automatically adapted to the type of battery use.

Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is idle:
The storage mode is activated whenever no discharge has taken place within 24 hours. The charge retention voltage is then reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas development and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the level of the gassing voltage. This results in a kind of equalizing charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulphation - the two main causes of premature battery failure.

Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries
LiFePO₄ batteries are charged with a simple constant current phase – constant voltage phase – charge retention voltage phase algorithm.

THE NIGHT and LOW settings
If the device is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50% of the nominal output and the charger works absolutely noiseless. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be manually terminated.

Protection against overheating
The output current is reduced when the temperature rises to 50°C, but the Blue Smart charger does not fail.
