Description

The APS Add On: Driverless transport system expands the Agile Production Simulation (APS) with another driverless transport system (FTS). This is responsible for intralogistics within GSP and enables agile and flexible processes. The additional FTS significantly increases the possibilities of intralogistics. Parallelization and prioritization in the production workflow can be planned, tested and experienced. At the same time, the complexity of logistics processes is increasing.
The driverless transport system uses ultrasonic sensors, line sensors, buttons and a photo transistor to orient itself within the Agile Production Simulation. The first-time integration into Agile Production Simulation is described in the documentation and takes place in a few minutes.
The Mecanum Omniwheels enable multidirectional driving and thus space-saving and effective transportation of the workpieces within the Agile Production Simulation. The FTS receives its travel commands from the central control unit of Agile Production Simulation in the industry standard VDA 5050. As power supply the FTS uses a fischertechnik battery pack 8.4V 1800mAh. When the battery experiences a defined low level, the FTS automatically moves into the integrated charging station.
With the use of the additional FTS, additional learning content will be released in the Digital Learning Platform.

The additional driverless transport system (FTS) releases further learning content in the Digital Learning Platform. Both theory modules and additional tasks are activated in the learning module "Agile Production". They deal with Agile intralogistics as well as with parallelization and prioritization of the production workflow.
