Machine suitability: The RHODIUS KSM is a roughing disk (form 27) for angle grinders of all power classes. Material suitability: The RHODIUS KSM was specifically developed for the machining of steel (black steel also called structural steel, St37, S235JR, 1.0037 or carbon steel) and cast steel. The grinding disc KSM is ideal for chamfering, for welding seam preparation, for leveling welds, as well as for breaking edges and deburring. It is also suitable for surface grinding. Construction and production: The disc is manufactured in accordance with EN 12413 and is safety tested and OSA certified. Every thousand discs are tested for safety at approximately double the speed at which they are used. It contains high-quality grinding grain (aluminum oxide known as corundum) and specially tuned phenolic resin as well as an armoring made of three full-surface glass fiber fabric layers. This roughing disk thus far exceeds the legally required lateral load of 290 N. Application: The KSM convinces by its high service life. The glass has a fine grain layer which makes it very easy to break out. Dimensions: The grinding disc KSM has a disc width of 7.0 mm or 8.0 mm and is available in diameters from 105 mm to 230 mm. Branches: This grinding disk is preferred in the locksmith's shop, in steel construction, in yards, in container and plant engineering as well as in pipe and pipe construction.
