Description

Piggyback shock absorbers are characterized by the fact that there is an expansion tank at the side of the shock absorber casing, which carries out different functions. The expansion tank is an additional container for oil, which in some cases has a surface enlarged by cooling fins. If the oil in shock absorbers becomes too hot due to extreme stress, the dampening function is lost due to the formation of gas in the oil, to prevent this, the additional oil tank increases the amount of oil and the cooling surface of the damper housing increases, so that the oil as a whole is not heated as quickly as possible due to the extreme load. To prevent leakage during transport, only our shock absorber housings are filled with 100CPS oil as standard. For full performance, the expansion tank must also be filled well with oil.
