Description

The Panchroma™ Neon PLA filament reacts to UV radiation.

A beautiful color shine arises under UV/black light.

Is WAS the difference between fluorescent and phosphorescent (luminescent)?

The difference between fluorescent and phosphorescent is mainly in the duration and type of light emission:

Fluorescence:
Fluorescent materials light only while excited by an external light source. As soon as the light source is removed, the light stops immediately. This effect is short-lived because the electrons are moved to the excited state and immediately return to their basic state, where light is emitted.
An example of this is the fluorescent color in text markers or fluorescent colors that are visible under black light.

Phosphorescent:
Phosphorescent materials store energy from the light source and release it slowly over a longer period of time. The material continues to light even after the light source is removed. The process is slower because the electrons enter metastable conditions and gradually return, which will radiate light for a longer period of time.

Examples are "glow-in-the-dark" filaments that glow in the dark.

In summary, fluorescence is short and instantaneous, while phosphorescence lasts longer. Both are fascinating phenomena of photoluminescence!

Panchroma™ is a new family of technical polymer compounds with PLA. The recipes are optimized for every color/surface to ensure optimum aesthetics and printability. You can print reliably on any FFF/FDM 3D printer under typical PLA settings.

All Panchroma™ products are PLA, except those listed under "Experimental".

Requirements

A hardened nozzle is required for printing.
