Description

Durability of PCTG with the advantages of fiber optic cables

The glass-fiber filling of Spectrum PCTG GF10 produced a high-strength filament with an amazingly matte surface.

In the development of the filament, attention was paid to reducing the abrasiveness of the glass fibers.
Functional fibers with less aggressive geometry are used to reduce the wear of the nozzle.

Spectrum PCTG GF10 is a technical filament with properties designed for high rigidity and hardness. Large components can be printed thanks to the extremely high layer adhesion and the low shrinkage.

In addition, the fibers give the prints a special structure, WAS is reflected in its improved usability in addition to the undisputed aesthetic qualities. Models made of Spectrum PCTG GF10 are used wherever increased adhesion, increased durability against cyclic loads and chemical resistance are important.

Uses:
- Visual and functional prototyping
- Manufacture of safety devices, housings and covers
- Protective components against electrical currents
- Conceptual models
- Manufacture of parts exposed to chemical substances
- Production tools and devices

VERIFY YOUR SPOOL - the most precise quality control system on the market

Filaments for 3D printers are produced using the free extrusion method, which is one of the most difficult processing techniques by extrusion because of the particularly large influence of the process parameters on product dimensions and material homogenization.

During production, each 1 mm of Spectrum filament is continuously measured in 2 axes with an accuracy of ±0.8 µm, which allows a high quality end product to be obtained. To prove this, Spectrum Filaments, as one of the few manufacturers worldwide, has introduced the possibility of online presentation, individually for each coil produced:
- Diameter across the entire coil length,
- Medium diameter,
- Ovality,
- Standard deviation.

A detailed quality check ensures that Spectrum Filaments products meet strict market requirements.
