This software license is part of the EcoStruxure Control Engineering series for industrial automation that is compatible with Schneider Electric and other vendors' PLCs and PACS. EcoStruxure Control Engineering - Documentation, formerly PLC DocGen, is a reverse engineering tool that generates an abstract representation of the program directly from the source code. CEGDOCPU2L is an unlimited license that gives an additional user access to unlimited program runs after the first user. For additional updates after the first year, a 1-year support update license package must be purchased. The tool allows users to generate an up-to-date abstract representation of the program information based on the information contained in the source code and enabling quick understanding. This tool is a Software as a Service (SaaS) application and supports the five IEC 61131-3 languages as well as various PLC brands and models. This allows the user to use a single tool, even if a mixed installation base of different manufacturers is available. It is a cloud-based application that can be accessed from anywhere via a simple web browser and user login, so no installation is required. A private server option is also available for users with strict security requirements. This software tool is intended for end users, system integrators and original equipment manufacturers from all industries, such as automotive, energy, food and beverage, packaging, water, Wastewater, production and infrastructure. The tool supports many types of PLC programs, including EcoStruxure Control Expert and EcoStruxure Machine Expert, as well as many other vendors. It helps to improve productivity in managing the control software lifecycle, helping to reduce development time and costs during the development and/or maintenance of control applications. This tool, based on GLIPS technology, brings software engineering technologies from IT and embedded software into industrial automation. This formalizes development processes and increases productivity, quality, efficiency and maintainability.
