The CA 6683 LOCAT is an indispensable device for all maintenance, renovation and improvement work in residential buildings.
It is easy to use and allows to quickly locate a power cable, a metallic water or heating pipe in the walls or in the ground.
In an electrical system that is both live and voltage-free, you can use it to identify sockets, switches, circuit breakers or fuses that are connected to the circuit. In the event of an error, it allows the location of a short circuit, an interruption or a disconnection.
The CA 6683 LOCAT consists of a transmitter and a receiver that both have a large, clear display with background lighting and an automatic setting of the transmission power/sensitivity for an easy and intuitive operation.
The transmitter informs about the danger when there is voltage and indicates its value.
The transmission signal has a digital coding to avoid interference and its strength can be manually adjusted to refine the detection.
In complex cases, the setting of the identification code makes possible the shared use of up to 7 transmitters.
The receiver possesses an integrated torch, a silent mode and an automatic or manually adjustable sensitivity for a better selectivity, in order to be able to adjust to all situations on the construction site.
The receiver can also be used alone to locate a live conductor connected to the active conductor (phase) of the power supply.
