Overview

Detailed replica of a Bell 222: Scale chassis with rubber tires provides even greater flying pleasure for Scale fans
Barometric and optical positioning system: For stabilized flight mode and automatic lifting
Intelligent protection system when the battery is empty: The model lands independently if the pilot does not respond to the warnings of the status LED

Description

The Bell 222 is a twin-engine civil helicopter, which was developed in the 1970s and was delivered from 1980. An optically adjusted version gained special recognition by the television series Airwolf.

The model presented here is a scale replica of the Airwolf helicopter with numerous details, which are based on the original: The black-and-white paint, reproductions of on-board arming as well as integrated LED lighting underline the characteristic appearance. The fuselage cell is made of robust ABS plastic. Rotor head and parts of the swash plate are made from aluminum. The drive takes place via brushless motors with 1200KV at the main rotor and 5500KV at the tail rotor. In combination with the accompanying 7.4V 1200mAh LiPo battery, you can achieve a powerful unit for dynamic flight maneuvers.

Different sensors are installed for flight support. A 6-axis gyro system (6G), a barometric altimeter and an optical altimeter ensure a stable flight position. The remote control offers a Dual-rate function for setting different servo travel values, so that the model is suitable for beginners as well as advanced pilots. The swash plate deflections are converted to 60 degrees by four digital 4.3g mini servos with metal drive and a setting speed of 0.05 seconds.

The model has a inverted flight function, which can be activated by remote control from a flying height of approx. 5 meters. A status LED on the top of the model indicates the current battery status. When the charge is low, a warning is displayed followed by an automatic landing if there is no reaction. Start is possible in mode 2 (throttle left) and in mode 1 (throttle right). In sensor mode, the maximum flying altitude is limited to approximately 8 meters.
