In addition to the conventional solutions for thermal interface materials in the form of films, pads or liquids, Kerafol® also developed a heat-conducting injection molding granulate (KERAMOLD®) based on a TPE polymer (thermoplastic elastomer). The new range of injection molding plastics allows for 3D heat transfer and high electrical insulation. In addition, electrical components can be completely coated with heat-conducting materials through the forming process. This means that electronic components can not only be cooled but also protected against dust and mechanical influences – a real alternative to conventional casting materials due to the fast processing time.
