Fire-resistant, halogen-free PET-G for 3D printing
Spectrum PET-G FR V0 is a new halogen-free, fire resistant material for 3D printing based on the well-known PET-G. The filament was developed according to flammability standard UL 94 V0*, WAS means that vertical burning of the filament or the printed part does not take longer than 10 seconds. Most typical plastics have low fire resistance. For this reason the Filament Spectrum PET-G FR V0 was developed, which is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing in order to ensure a high level of safety in the daily and working environment.
The modifications made do not affect the printability of the filament, which allows the classic properties of PET-G to be maintained, i.e. simple and efficient printing with very low shrinkage and relatively high tensile strength.
* The filament is not certified by Underwriters Laboratories and has no UL number.
