Description
The race for horsepower began in America in the 1950s, but the car that really set the era of the classic musclecars in motion was probably the Pontiac GTO of 1964. The GTO combined Pontiacs muscular 389-cubic-inch V8 with its lightest car, the newly designed, medium-sized 64pc Tempest LeMans. This easy-to-build 1:24 Revell 2n 1 kit has some of the best features the car has to offer, including the three-barrel "tri-Power" carburetor, a four-speed manual transmission and a double exhaust. The instructions are enclosed, so that clever designers can convert the two-door "post" coupe body to a hard top. Optional road parts include a second hood that has been cut out to accommodate the chrome-plated fan with two four-cylinder fans and suction nozzles. Other Hot Rod goodies include increased rear suspension and special eighties-style wheels. - The parts are included, to build your 1964 Pontiac GTO in its original condition or as a road vehicle - Carefully detailed 389 V8 engine with tri-Power carburetors or optional fan with two four-cylinder cylinders - Authentic interior with shell seats and a finely crafted four-on-the-floor gear lever - tampo-printed Redline tires - Completely new decal sheet with several sets of individual stripes
